Re: Post Your 4wd Suburban Pics

vtblazer....Your truck sittin there stock with those hub caps just the way it is, in my eyes is meaner and more capable than anything on the market to date past present or future. I know that in the snow nothing works better than that narrow foot print.

Re: Post Your 4wd Suburban Pics

Longhorn71...I love that paint combo,it looks to be in better shape than my 72. when I got mine it was re painted and was sportin some bondo but the repaint was hiding the sins ,Atleast when you get original paint it might be a little ''ruff'' around the edges but you know what ya got. Nice find good luck on bringin her back to life ...

Re: Post Your 4wd Suburban Pics

Here's mine, been over a year since I saved it from the crusher. All stock except the 454 and some other parts but otherwise it's all original. It runs but I haven't driven it on the road. It'll move itself but I'll bet that turbo 350 is tired. The wheels are 16.5"x9.75" OEM type steel and the tires are 33x12.50's. The left front tire is a MudKing, right front is a Cooper Discoverer A/T, and the rears are Baja WideTrac A/T's. Good enough to roll on! Right now I'm trying to save money for brake hoses, a turn signal switch, and other stuff it needs to be street legal. These pics are a month or two old, I've washed the truck since then. Don't know what I'll do about the paint, I guess later on the whole truck will be primered and repainted the factory yellow and white, the yellow paint on the interior just needs to be buffed and it'll look like new inside, well, sorta.

EDIT well the pics don't wanna work, here's the link to 'em. If someone can resize 'em for me I'd appreciate it, hadn't figured out how yet.

Re: Post Your 4wd Suburban Pics

THanks Blackrider but those tires came off of my Jimmy so I gotta buy a new set for that one. Hey on your suburban the back looks slightly higher than the front. WHat lift are you using and heights? I am courious because mine seems to sag slightly in the back but I am sure it is from worn out leaf springs.

Re: Post Your 4wd Suburban Pics

They all look great. Its nice to see so much interest in our old rigs. I havnt posted on here for awile, but its nice to see. Anytime one of our rigs, be it Burb, truck or Blazer is bought up and put back on the road its a great day. I've kicked my self in the butt many times over the last few months. Had some med bills come up with my twin boys and had to sell my 68' 2wd truck, 70' jimmy, 72 jimmy, 72 blazer to cover them. I still have my 72 burb and my 67 truck. Its good to see some friendly names ive seen over the years.
Thanks Dwayne

They were the factory wheels, 6" wide I think. They were skinny.
