Exhaust Questions?

Currently ive got the old cast iron exhaust manifolds a set of 2 inch exhaust true duals, 18'' glass packs, with mandrel bent exhaust.

Ive been looking to upgrade to a different set of pipes this summer but not sure what to get, im thinking 2.5'' exhaust tubing but would 3'' be too much?

Im not for sure mufflers though, does anybody run flowmaster super 10's, or spintech prostreet mufflers?

And im wondering about getting a set of exhaust tips the angle cut ones but not sure if i should have the exhaust exit straight out below the bumper out the back or have them angle out behing the rear tire, let me know what you guys think Thanks

Hunter

I think you should do what you think is best. I would think 2.5" would be enough if it's a small block gas engine. Flowmasters are pretty spendy. Unless youre running a musclecar...ya know.

Definitely. I have owned two mid-year Corvettes (a '65 and a '66), both with pretty strong smallblocks for their time. They each had OEM 2.5" exhaust systems. Anything larger is purely for show, unless you have a monster gas engine or a diesel.

Mufflers, tips, & routing are really a personal choice. My Magnaflows dump in front of the rear axle.
