Rear axle seal

Is there a major difference in SKF, timken, USA standard gear, or national for rear axle seals? Or one that I should stay away from?

Re: Rear axle seal

I cannot speak for National or USA but I have never been disappointed in the Timken and SKF parts I have used.

Thanks 67. I have found some national seals that made in USA on eBay. I couldn’t find where the SKF seals were made at.

The seals I pulled are national. Made in USA. 8835S.

Re: Rear axle seal

I would recommend Nationals. I use them for everything. CRs are crap. The Nationals are heavy duty and used in a lot of OE applications.

Re: Rear axle seal

Super. Let us know what you think when you get them. Last seal I had to install was the tail shaft seal on a 2013 GMC. Used an SKF in that case.
