68 panel 4x4 K10

Picked up an original 68 4x4 k10 panel truck. PO dismantled in 1977 I guess to restore. The left side closed knuckle is completely apart . I guess to put new seals which are still in gm packaging. I've never worked on these closed knuckles and wondering if anyone can come up with assembly link. Trying to keep this original for now as latest info is they only made 69 panels in 1968 and only 5 were 4x4. I'd say thats pretty rare Thanks.......Rick

Re: 68 panel 4x4 K10

I have two people that are supposed to posting pic's for me. No luck yet. Found that the two kingpin cone bearings are missing from the drivers side that was torn apart. PO had all new seals and everything except these bearings. Not having much luck finding these anyone know where they can be sold at? Any info will be appreciated....Rick

check out this page.
http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s...d.php?t=104816

So, you have 6500 Chevy panels produced in 1968.
Of that,
4801 are 2wheel drive 1/2 tons
59 are 4x4 1/2 tons
1572 are 2 wheel 3/4 tons,
68 are 4x4 3/4 ton.

Enjoy your ride!!!

Re: 68 panel 4x4 K10

John, thanks for the info. I thought 5 was pretty low myself. Although 89 was correct for 1/2 ton 4x4 total 67-68 panels. Someone forgot to add in 2wd's lol. Working with argonaut to post pic's. It's partially dismantled like when I got it........Rick
