Rear shackle question

I am installing a 2-1/2" Skyjacker lift with new leaf springs (front & rear) in my 70 K10. I had to cut into my stock rear shackles in order to get the rear leafs out. Ended up destroying them. What should I use for replacements, and where can I get them. I'm not doing a shackle flip, just installing new Skyjacker springs.

Re: Rear shackle question

LMCtrucks.com has them. part number 34-0036, page=153 of the online catalog. At 15 a piece you can't go wrong.

I see that. Any idea how these compare to stock OEM shackles?

Re: Rear shackle question

I don't know if the part is still available, but i got a set from GM many moons ago. they are still sitting unused on the frame of my truck. if you would like, i can go see if they have a PN stamped on them.

I really can't say compared to stock. I've not been dis-pleased with LMC to date. If you're not using them for a shackle flip you'll be OK. My opinion.

PN and picts would be great. Thanks. If they're unused are you willing to part with them?

Last time I bought a set from LMC they were regular GM issue shackles made by Dayton and even come with a new bushing installed.

Re: Rear shackle question

No problem. i needed an excuse to take them off the frame! after the conversion to airbags, they were just sitting there in the hangers.
