Factory power steering gear box ratio

I had ordered a Napa reman oem steering box, and what they sent me was terrible. Paint was sticky and wiped off. They had painted over grease and dirt. That went right back. So i bit the bullet and ordered the CPP clp-cp500414 14:1 ratio gear box, which is supposed to be much tighter and responsive.

My question is this. Does anyone happen to know what the ratio of the factory steering gear is? Just trying to get a frame of reference. Thanks.

Re: Factory power steering gear box ratio

In the 1960’s , GM used, almost exclusively, a 20:1 ratio power steering gear
probably take off a full turn with the new one
