1970 Panel Houston Craigslist

I think this was on ebay awhile back. Was this the one that sold on "bring a trailer" for 5000 or so bucks?

Re: 1970 Panel Houston Craigslist

Yes ...this is the one from bring a trailer

Was sold about a year ago for about 5600.00 ...which was a good buy

The current owner put seats in it and took it to Texas

It was on ebay with a couple of offers but no sale

Good panels are hard to find but I don't think they are at 15000 yet

But I think this is an original V8 auto unit ...most were 6/3spd

And if it was a factory big block panel I would buy it

If you search under chevy panel on bring a trailer the original listing should come up

Re: 1970 Panel Houston Craigslist

I guess he can sell it for whatever he wants to ask, but it irks me that the seller entrusted this guy with the truck (read about the Vietnam dog tags on the key chain), and the new seller tries to make $9000 on a seven month ownership. If I question the seller's character, than I question what he's selling.

A less-greedy price with an honest reason for selling would have been justified here.

He can ask whatever he wants for it, doesn't mean he will get it. Just because they are sorta rare doesn't make them worth more, they still aren't that desirable of a ride ... Yet =)

Re: 1970 Panel Houston Craigslist

Not what he's claiming either.Restored stock means like it would have come from the factory. All panels had factory Utility Buckets,no console.I've also never seen a panel with a luggage rack,I tend to believe that's a dealer add or sub one someone put on.

Re: 1970 Panel Houston Craigslist

You could spec an optional passenger seat or a bench in a panel(my 68 has the bench on the spid)
As far as I know the consol was not an RPO in panels

I would have to see the SPID to believe the roof rack was factory...but it is possible

What the present owner paid for a unit does not determine the actual value today

He was quicker off the mark than the rest of us when it was first listed

I am not willing to pay 15K for this one...or I would own it

But if I did own it I would not sell it for less than that....as they say...find another one

Re: 1970 Panel Houston Craigslist

I am still hurting over missing this panel when it was next door in Wisconsin.
It would have made a real nice tow rig for the parts business.
I was a day late.

Re: 1970 Panel Houston Craigslist

Back up on Ebay...still at 15000.00

I might have to make an offer soon...but I don't think he is in a hurry to sell

The panel is just about the lowest price vehicle he has listed.

Re: 1970 Panel Houston Craigslist

It's still up. Awfully expensive - it better be perfect and need nothing. Although 40-year-old chevy and "needs nothing" doesn't exist.
