Floor pan replacement questions/opinions..
I'm rebuilding a 68 c10, I'm gonna replace the entire floor vs doing patches. Was wondering if someone could show some pics or a simple explanation of the best way to do this.. thanks

Re: Floor pan replacement questions/opinions..
Ive done it twice and super easy. Just make a height measurement off one of the gas tank mounti g holes to set the rear of the floor. Cut all tge spot weld grind and prep and put in the new floor. Pics in some of my posts

Re: Floor pan replacement questions/opinions..
Seems easy enough, when I cut the old floor out, i obviously want to cut right flush with the back wall of the cab, correct?

Re: Floor pan replacement questions/opinions..
There is a row of spot welds along the back of the cab that you have to drill out. A spot weld cutter is a big help

The cab will be resting on a couple of 4x4 post run from cab corner to cab corner and lower fender mount to lower fender mount.. think this will be ok? Couldn't find any pics

Re: Floor pan replacement questions/opinions..
If your gonna cut out the floor pan you'll need to crossbrace the cab in multiple directions before you start cutting, to keep it from moving around on you...make sure the doors will open and close properly before you start cutting..

Re: Floor pan replacement questions/opinions..
I welded in some x bracing in the door areas but it was hanging on a homemade rotisserie . The first floor i replaced i did not use a rotisserie i had it on four legs mounted off of the door hinge area in the front and the striker plate area in the back. I cut the floor out and let it fall on the floor. I then preped the cab and slid the new floor under the cab and lifted up to its location. I then c clamped it whare needed and measured where i need to and welded away.
