Anyone Else Notice-One Single Light ?
Is it just me or has anyone else noticed lately on a LOT of the newer cars/trucks going down the road.....why do I see ONLY one park light lit? Doesn't seem to matter either with the manufacture, be it GM, Ford, Dodge .....even on some foreign cars/trucks. Can't say which brand as the symbols they use today mean little to me for the most part. Either the passenger side or driver side park light is on. No head lights or tail lights on as they pass but just the one park light ????

Re: Anyone Else Notice-One Single Light ?
I see it all the time. My Sierra did it twice till I put in led bulbs. I think a lot of people don't know the light is out because the drl comes on when the truck/car is put into gear. Also it can cost some bucks at the stealership to have those bulbs changed out.

Re: Anyone Else Notice-One Single Light ?
So it's the daytime running lamps? When GM started doing it I notices a lot of trucks, mostly, with one daytime out. I wondered if there was an electrical bug that came along with this new technology. I know it wasn't normal burning out because I was in my '92 I ordered new that still had all it's original bulbs. In fact, that's another story, not to sidetrack this thread, but I drove that truck for 22 years/335,000 miles and never had to replace a single bulb. Had a tail lamp circuit board need replacjng, but no bulbs, not even cab lights burned out

Re: Anyone Else Notice-One Single Light ?
On the '06 the DRL gets real hot in its spot. The sockets will get black and start to melt. Real poor design. I changed out the ones on the Tahoe as a preemptive strike. Thank goodness for YouTube, showing you the "easy" way to change them out.

My 13 GMC eats bulbs like they were candy...low beam/drl lights that is....I'm lucky to get a few months out of them...nobody has been able to come up with a remedy yet..

Same here. My wifes 2017 Subaru eats them up and they're a pain to change.

Re: Anyone Else Notice-One Single Light ?
Looks to be a rather common affliction of the newer vehicles. Oh, for the days when cars and trucks were rather simple in operation and owner repairs. Those days are long gone.

Motorcycles... Some states require burning the headlamp, some don't. MC manufacturers started making the lights go on with the ignition. As soon as you turn the key to "on" before hitting the "start button" you have the headlamps drawing on that lawnmower battery. I never do that in any vehicle. I never burn my lamps unless the engine is running... never. First thing I did was remove the jumper that makes that happen. With 10.5:1 compression I need ALL the battery to start my bike, and that's in perfect working order. I am capable of turning on my own headlamp*, thank you! *Not required in Maryland, but I do
