Outstanding!

Remind me of your wheel/tire sizes for this truck please?

Re: DURG's Black 65 C10

Doing just a little on the truck. I refurbed the stock shroud. I was thinking about using a metal barrel shroud like on my 62 Impala but it looked like the stock one would be salvageable and fit with the raised crossmember and aluminum radiator. Everything is tight with the front GM serpentine belt setup. I also got the steering column and steering linkage bolted up where it's going to be. This was close everywhere because I did not want to run a heim joint and 3rd universal.

Re: DURG's Black 65 C10

I doubt it. I have to do a complete wiring harness install as well as exhaust, brake lines. windshield gasket, bed wood install and a lot more. My time is really limited. Working OT and the boy has travel baseball and basketball. The wife is training for an Ironman in Canada so we will be heading up there for a week. Just really busy. It was enjoyable working on the truck so that is what is important. No timeline. I can retire in 23 months so it may not even be done by then, but that's OK too.

Re: DURG's Black 65 C10

Did a couple things on the truck for a change yesterday. Installed the starter, bolted up torque converter, and made a throttle linkage with heim ends on each end and put on double throttle return springs. I got this cool vintage Pepsi cooler from my father in law to take with the truck or my Impala to shows. Usually I see the Coke ones but I thought this one was kind of cool.

I know this is a couple years old but what is the benefit of the jeep door stops over the stock ones?

Edit: I found a thread elsewhere that explained.

Has a mid stop position and keeps the door from over opening and damaging trim strip.

Re: DURG's Black 65 C10

Actually ventured out to the garage for a couple minor things. Installed hinges on the PB relocation brackets and installed the Wilwood prop valve. Not much but it's more than I have been doing.

May I ask what steering column you used with the factory deluxe wheel?

Re: DURG's Black 65 C10

Been working on truck again. Completed exhaust, brakelines. Popped windshield out and cleaned most of the old sealant off. Put tank back in with an NOS filler neck. Filled power steering, master. Shortened snorkel of a stock top air cleaner and drilled a bunch of 2" holes around the perimeter. I left the factory stenciling on instead of putting holes there. Not 100% sold on this air cleaner top yet though.

Re: DURG's Black 65 C10

I dig the air cleaner, maybe clean up the holes with a dimple die?

That fan shroud looks fantastic. Did you have to repair any cracks or holes? If so, did you use a JB Weld product or other?
