AC for LSx swap

I'm getting ready to purchase an AC unit for my 1974 C10 that I'm LS swapping and was wondering if there are any prefered vendors and tips from experienced folks on this site.

I'm thinking Vintage Air right now but not sure which kit is best for an LSx swap using truck accessories and the AC unit in the stock low mount location.

Also I plan to do the install while I have the dash and cab stripped and the engine out, figureed this would give me all the space I need but not sure if I will have problems putting stuff back together?? Advice?

Re: AC for LSx swap

Guess I should mention I want to keep the orig assessory truck mounts for the compressor.

Did some research and it looks like I can modify the engine mount to keep the compressor, wondering if the VA kit has a smaller compressor.

Re: AC for LSx swap

I went ahead and used the LS compressor in the stock location. Just have to get the right mounts and cut that notch in the frame.
