Door Alignment Woes

I replaced my drivers side upper door hinge because the stop was missing and I didnt want to crease my fender or door any more then what already had been done.

The door was already a bit off when I bought it, but now my door alignment is so boogered I cant get the damn thing to latch unless I am pushing down (extremely) when I slam it.

I just ordered a lower hinge because my dad thinks maybe it was damaged whenever the stop was broken.

My striker plate is gouging into my door latch (LMC Catalog PG17 Item 1)

Any suggestions or pointers?

Re: Door Alignment Woes

Buy a used top hinge and replace the pins in both the top hinge and the bottom hinge. The reproduction hinges are too thick and hit on the bolts when trying to close your door.
As for the allighnment, you can move the door toward the front fender if the gap is too wide. If not then you should be able to remove a couple of shims out from under the striker plate. WES
