draining coolant
I need to change my block heater on my 2006 5.3L half ton. does anyone know where the radiator drain plug is and also the block drain plugs? ( I can't believe I would ever have to ask such a question) Thanks in advance.

Not realley it will still leave guild in the block bit you have to drain it anyway u willl loose some changing the blocker heater

These trucks do not have a coolant drain. Just remove the lower radiator hose and quick point it into a 5 gallon bucket. That's all you can do.

Wow, that sounds messy...for another $4 or so they could have put a drain plug in the radiator...too bad.
