Stranded in middle nowhere, 1987/350 manual ECM fuze blown
I had another fuze in the truck, plugged it in and it blew...
Any ideas to get me back on the road? Thanks! |

Sounds as if you have a straight to ground issue.
Which fuse is it?

Found it after much searching, a frayed wire at the injector area.

if it was 30, I'd say why not... never put a larger amp fuse in place of one that's instantly blowing, your asking for a much bigger problem than you had such as a fire. even if its just to get you home... clint

Glad you found it. Sorry haven't been on the computer in a couple of days. Had no internet.

Re: Stranded in middle nowhere, 1987/350 manual ECM fuze blown
ECM 1 is a 10 amp, I was only going to pull the 30amp to see it affected the short, not use it in place of a 10 amp.
