85-87 Rebuilt Chevy Grille

I put together a grille with an aftermarket grille. The aftermarket grille comes with the 4 small end moldings. The center grille molding, bowtie and parking lamps are all original.

Center grille molding has been cleaned and stripped of the paint/tape, so it it just stainless steel with no color. There are some very minor dings & scratches. I tried to take some good close up photos to highlight these areas. I also took the mounting tabs off the back and sandblasted the rust off. I reinstalled them and used new speed nuts.

Bowtie has just been cleaned. Color is still great. Again, I took some close ups to highlight the small scratches.

$250 plus shipping.

Re: 84-87 Rebuilt Chevy Grille

Here is the other one, it's almost identical to the one above. Just very minor surface scratches and dings. They are so small, I tried to get close up photos of them, but you can't see them in the pics.

Re: 84-87 Rebuilt Chevy Grille

I went this exact route with a refurbed/rebuilt grille from TKCR for my '85 and I couldn't be happier. Very well done.

Thanks Robbie, I'm happy to here you are still happy with your grille. If you like, go ahead and post a before & after pics of your grille swap.

These grilles make a huge difference on what your truck will look like. Here's mine that I did also.

Re: 84-87 Rebuilt Chevy Grille

Got another one done today. Same as the others above, $250 plus shipping.

OEM parts include: Bowtie & center moldings.

Nice center moldings are extremely hard to find. These do have minor surface scratches and a few very minor dings. I will post closeups of these items.
Bowtie is original, has nice color. It does have some minor scratches.

New aftermarket grille.
(NOS grilles are hard to find AND ARE VERY EXPENSIVE )

New parking lamps
(I use new parking lamps when I don't have OEM not are not damaged).

New hardware

Re: 84-87 Rebuilt Chevy Grille

More pics. These photos are of the worst scratches. There is an area on the left side and a area on the right side.

Photo #1 & #4 are of the same left side area, just different views.
Photo # 2 & #3 are the same right side area, just different views.

Re: 84-87 Rebuilt Chevy Grille

Will this fit in a 81-83 without modification to the mounting tabs. I know the marker light wiring will have to be moved. Thanks.

You should not have to make any modifications. all the mounting tabs are the same, I believe. But I can't be 100%, I really don't know much about the front end of the early 80's.

I do have parts to put a couple together. I have just been so busy and haven't had time. I will try and get one together this weekend and post pics for you. They are all pretty much the same, except for the condition of the center moldings. I've been working on them, to get most of the dings out, but I think it's impossible to get everything out.

Re: 85-87 Rebuilt Chevy Grille

Put another one together. This is an aftermarket grille. ALL TRIM PARTS ARE ORIGINAL. Bowtie, center grille moldings, 4 vertical moldings and the parking lamps. All new mounting hardware. New hardware for all the trim moldings.

Center grille moldings do have small dings, but they are pretty small. If you put colored paint/tape on the moldings, almost all off them would get covered up. Bowtie does have some nicks & scratches, but otherwise looks way better than most. Color is still good. Parking lamps are very clean with no cracks.

$250.00 plus shipping

This grille will ALSO be listed on Ebay.

Re: 85-87 Rebuilt Chevy Grille

Don't happen to have a 81 grille with the polished center bar do you? Finding a good 81-82 grille is pretty difficult.
