Trouble Code C0899

I used my code reader after getting a check engine light and is says C0899 Device 1 Voltage Low.
Since then I have been running with my lights on since the batteries wouldnt previously charge. They do now.
Does anyone know what this code is and how to fix it?

Re: Trouble Code C0899

That code is an ABS code. Its sets anytime the battery voltage is below 9 V for 100ms in the EBCM(electronic brake control module).

That code will not turn the check engine lamp on.

You can't fix that code. You will have to fix the charging/battery issue. The code will clear itself after 100 consecutive drive cycles.

You can also clear that code with your scanner.

Thanks S_Trucker, there's the issue, how to find the problem. I will try clearing it with the scanner.

Yes. These new vehicles throw all kinds of codes when the battery gets low.

Re: Trouble Code C0899

Strange, I charged both the batteries, cleaned the terms, cleaned the grounds I could find (on the firewall). I cleared the codes last month about the ninth or tenth. The codes haven't came back (so far). Been checking the code reader for history. Nothing. Thanks for the help guys. Supposed to go on the road for a new job soon, before that happens I will install both new batteries just to make sure.
