Console hardware questions

I’m trying to determine whether bright (chrome, zinc) hardware or black hardware is correct on console housings (I’ve seen every combination but pretty sure none were unrestored). Not sure if the color of the console matters, and not sure if cup holder vs seatbelt pocket style matters. Who has unrestored consoles that have perfect hardware? Appreciate the help!

Re: Console hardware questions

Unsure if console color makes a difference, but my unrestored black console has black Hardware. I couldn't see them using black Hardware on a blue console but who knows. Someone else will chime in for sure

Is yours a cup holder style or seatbelt style?

Seat belt style. Outer hardware is the washer head screw

Re: Console hardware questions

Anyone else out there with a cup holder style that can confirm hardware color?
