I got mine from PST but they looked the same. You want to paint them, I used cast iron colored engine enamel and they it didn't really change the color they were.

I'll do that trigger!

So I have a question...do I really have to paint all of these darn components like Jebb has suggested? Sucks if I do.

Re: My Project 56Chevy1300

you realy should paint first, it will pay off in the end,de-grease them first, scotchbrite them, then POR 15....and they will look great!

Are you going to use shocks with the current front air bag setup? If so where do they go?

Re: My Project 56Chevy1300

I found a photo on sportruck.com (below). Im going to mount the shocks similiar to the ones in the pic so I have some fabbing to do.

I hope it sits close to the floor but I have stock spindles so we'll see -- I may have to go with drop spindles.

What a shame if it does! Mine is seeing all of it's trailor time now. Once it's under it's own power it will be a daily driver.

the only trailer mine will see will be behind it, not under it...it seems some of these guys get confused on how to hook up a truck to a trailer.

Re: My Project 56Chevy1300

Thanks...I've been a little stalled lately because since I don't know the exact year of the subframe, I've had a difficult time ordering parts. I ordered a new set of upper control arm shafts that didn't fit properly.

Re: My Project 56Chevy1300

Hi guys, had the wrong sized upper a arm bushings but found the correct size hiding in my suspension rebuild kit (had it all along!). Anyways, arms were sent to the local hot rod shop to be installed. Should be able to finish the cutouts for the airbags soon.
