My 68 i just picked up a good friend passed away and i was offered it .On the fence whether to go 4wd or lower .Thinking about a low 4wd.lol

It is nice but my buddy had a 402 all rebuilt and a blow proof bell housing that he had bought .So i am thinking of building it the way he intended in his honour.As a tribute to him.

Thanks me too he had cancer and fought it for 6 years he was a awesome person and friend .I feel honoured to have it .

Thats what i was thinking will do disk brakes and maybe power steering.I considered the 4wd because someone just gave me a trans ,transfer case and both rears in a trade.I like the way the truck sits now if i could get that look with 4wd i think it would be cool.I know a lot of people are in to lowering them guess im old school just like the stock stance.

There is nothing wrong with the old school way of thinking but just remember back then we were the young guns or punks that people hated what we did to "their" trucks. I think it is great to build the truck to honor your lost friend. Its funny I have a 68 LeMans LS1 convert in my shop with fresh paint that has about 4 miles on it and it is missing the int and chrome, my brother was the driving force in that project. When he died it has just sat there only been uncovered maybe three times since 07. I can't bear to work on it for thinking about him and yet he so loved the 67-72 trucks that is what got me to looking at them and even talked myself into buying some "for him". It has made it harder on me cause he worked for me in my shop for many years. I have lost two brothers it still is hard weather they worked for me or not. Jim

I feel your pain Jim i have lost all three of my brothers one at 19,26and 36 it has been devastating.Just think though if you know what your brother wanted to do to his car you can finish it in a tribute to him .He would want it finished and if you can bring yourself to do it .Everytime you drive it remember the good times .I know its hard but the only way i bear loosing my brothers is to dwell on the good times.I live for them because thats what they would want.
