Nice truck. Never seen custom trim on a stepside before. Looks like it flashed thru a timewarp.

Re: 67 k20 long stepper

I absolutely love it. Is the trim listed on the SPID? It's not a Custom or CST, so it would have been an indiviual option. I know in 67/68 The trimmed Cab & Chassis and Stepside got the cab trim, which didn't carry through to '69. Didn't know you could add it, just they let you have what you paid for on a Custom or CST

Re: 67 k20 long stepper

Please show the rest of the right side of the SPID. This appears to be some sort of government truck, based on the one line item, but I can't see the whole line. Kind of fauncy for a government order, though, with that trim.

Whatever the case, it looks cool!

Real nice! Green with painted bumpers hard to top that. Is the SPID listing for Govern 28-3900 mean it has a governor?

Re: 67 k20 long stepper

On the bigger trucks with PTO drives I have seen factory governors that allowed you to run the engine with the throttle set at say 1800 rpm and then as you changed the load with the PTO the governor kept the engine from stalling or overreving. With a governor it has the closest thing to cruise control you could have got on a truck in 1967. You certainly have a unique truck. Reminds me of forest service trucks from back in the day.

Magnificent truck!

it's yours to do with as you wish, but, please, PLEASE consider long and hard before doing anything you can't reverse. This is exactly the kind of truck that needs to be cared for, not molested.
