Power Steering in a '53 GMC Pickup

Hello All,

My son's friend has a '53 GMC w/ a big block, he asked me if I knew of any easy OEM steering boxes that would fit with minimal fabrication. Also I told him I'd ask if there's any aftermarket kits that he could look into. Thanks in advance for your help!!!

I've seen some very expensive kits with EVERYTHING you would need and some minimal kits like thisName: 76-977 (1).jpg

You would need a Saginaw power steering box, pump and hoses of course. I have seen a how to tech article on this swap but cant find it now.

I know that somebody on this forum has used the route so hopefully they will chime in

Ive heard that a Toyota power steering box will work in the stock location but I dont know much about that.
