Remove Air Smog Pump

How do I remove the pump? Do I have to take off the pulley? I tried to remove the 10mm bolts but the pulley spins. Do I just hold it with my other hand?

Re: Remove Air Smog Pump

According to my Haynes manual:
Remove the air management valve and adapter, if so equipped.
If the pulley must be removed from the pump it should be done prior to removing the drivebelt.
Remove the pump mounting bolts and separate the pump from the engine.
Installation is the reverse of removal.

Do not tighten the pump mounting bolts until all components are installed.

Apparently, there is a filter behind the pulley which can be replaced - I did not know that.
