Re: S10 swap Budget 17"-20" Wheels - What should I look for?

Everyone that has been here a while knows that I am not a fan of big wheels on old trucks but 1952ssr nailed it and that is a lesson right there. You look at his truck and Youngrodders truck and both have wheels that don't overpower the truck nor are they gaudy like the big wheels the local tire stores push.

When you go look at 20's around here this is what they try to sell you.
Lots of gaudy extra bling.

48 Chev 3100 that will run a 292 Six.
71 GMC 2500 that is getting a Cad 500 transplant.
77 C 30 dualie, 454, 4 speed with a 10 foot flatbed and hoist. It does the heavy work and hauls the projects around.
