75 Jimmy Roll Bar

I have a 75 Jimmy and the body tag confirms 75 2WD. It has a roll bar with the seat belt attachment. I thought the roll bars and shoulder belts didn't appear until later years?

The 73-75 had the optional front roll bar, mid to late 70s the rear roll bar was optional.

I don't recall ever seeing a OEM roll bar with seat belt attachments, you most likely have a custom bar in yours. Post a picture and we can better assist you.

Re: 75 Jimmy Roll Bar

The factory front roll bar I have has a tab for a seat belt. I was hoping I could retrofit it to my later model 89, but haven't done it yet because the floor is higher in yours than mine.

Are you talking about the mounting tab on each side of the roll bar, about bed frame height? If so that is the mount that bolts to the inside of the striker pillar.

Yea, that was the one I was thinking about. Forgot it was lower than would be for seatbelt....
