Front swaybar options

My 72 C10 lwb currently doesn't have a front sway bar. It has 2.5 drop spindles and will be getting Belltech street performance shocks and Belltech 2" drop springs very soon. Who out there has a similar set up who has a front sway bar that they're happy with? Thanks!

Re: Front swaybar options

I'd think any would work but you might need to cut the little spacer tubes and get shorter end link bolts. I'll bet a 73-88 sway bar will work, but you might need to drill the frame and LCA. If you want better than stock, look at C20s in the scrapyard.

Careful, once to have the front, you'll start looking for something out back...

Re: Front swaybar options

I put a 1.25" cpp front bar on my truck yesterday and it made a huge differance. It was a very easy install also.

Is your C10 lowered Dynospeed? What's the part number of the swaybar?

Re: Front swaybar options

I have almost the exact setup on my 66 and have a 1" bar off the 78 truck I got the a arms off of. Works good on my daily driver.

CPP#7423

Jeff@CPP has been a big help and everything he has told me has been 100% spot on. I also did there rear shock relocation with there shock this past weekend and its probably the best $250 Ive ever spent on a vehicle.

Cool, I just ordered that front sway bar from Summit. My truck has cheap Monroe shocks on it now; heard good things about Belltech street performance shocks so may buy them for front and back. Might have to look into the relocation piece you spoke of.

Re: Front swaybar options

How much are you lowered? I have some very low miled Belltech #7002 of the front and #7506.

Re: Front swaybar options

Maybe its the wheels but it looks a little lower than that to me. Mine is a 4/5 drop and Im not tucking my 28" tires. You will also need the shorter shocks than that I have for sale. Get the rear shock relocation for the rear, its cheap and gets you better shock angle.

Re: Front swaybar options

Here's what I did for better clearance with a stock 1.25 inch sway bar. Tuck it it inside the frame mount..
