77 C20 cab on 2003 Sierra frame?

I've got a frame and drivetrain from a 03 GMC Sierra Denali - AWD, 4 wheel steering, 6.0L with a 4L65e trans... I thought this would make a cool foundation to plop my 77 C20 cab and box on. Am I insane? Has anyone done a similar swap before?

I am sure anything can be done. It will however tale ALOT of fabrication time to achieve. Maybe easier to graft the front of the new chassis to youe existing frame and go from there.

When I was doing my restoration I wanted to do this but I didn't do a lot of homework on it. I think if you can get it to work it will be the best of both worlds. Modern technology ride with classic looks. Sweeeeeeeeeeet!!!!!!!! I will be following this one. Good luck.
