+95 headlight/dimmer switch wiring diagram

Does anyone have one? Ive been searching for a few days now but cant seem to find any. My gear indicator (PRND321) lights lose power when the headlights are on and cant figure out why that is. Key acc on and parking lights on, they stay on, but as soon as its in the headlight position om the switch, the orange lights turn off.

This is from a 98+ but should be the same. Not sure it's going to do you much help though.

Re: +95 headlight/dimmer switch wiring diagram

Almost sounds like an issue with the cluster due to the light should receive power from the same source that turns on the running lights, but that will be for you to find out.
Could be a bad connection or ground at the bulb that goes to the indicator, may try keeping it simple and checking bulbs first.

Re: +95 headlight/dimmer switch wiring diagram

There has to be more than just the PRDNL lights loosing power when the headlight switch is in the headlight position.

It's not a socket or socket ground since the lights are on at a different position of the switch.

You have to focus on what is coming out of the switch in the "bad" position. Let us know what else is going off when in the headlight position and we can focus in on the problem.

Refer to this photo. Check to see what is happening to pins 8,7 and 4 when you switch the lights on and the indicator goes off. Those pins should not be changing since the indicator never changes regardless of what the lights are doing.
