Timberliner Emblem

I recently purchased and restored a 1971 C10 longbed and the Timberliner emblem is cracked in two on the driver side. I have not been able to locate a replacement. Does anyone know where I can purchase this? Thanks

Re: Timberliner Emblem

Welcome to the site. I have never heard of that one must have been a regional thing like we have southern editions and a few others similar to that. Go to the parts board and see if you can come across something there. Also look up member name tee it up[randy I think is his name] he parts out quite a few and he is in the midwest so that is closer to you. Jim

Re: Timberliner Emblem

Do you know where the truck originally came from? I used to have a 71 short box 2wd that had timberliner emblems. Only one I've ever seen. It came from western Montana and I do believe it was regional

Re: Timberliner Emblem

The truck was purchased from T&W Chevy from Missoula, Montana. I will try and get a couple photos up here in the next day or so.

Re: Timberliner Emblem

That's it!!! Tried posting photos of mine, but the site would not let me. I don't suppose you still have the emblems and are looking to part ways with one or both?

Re: Timberliner Emblem

I wish I still had the truck. Its not for sale as of right now. Actually talked to the current owner today and told him if he ever sells it to let me know. Easiest thing would probably be to send yours to a shop that could make a new one for ya. I imagine only a few trucks sold with the package. Was yours an original solid color truck that was changed to a two tone by t and w?

Re: Timberliner Emblem

He's restoring the truck, won't sell. There was a fire under the hood and damaged the firewall, but he's restoring it and dropping..I should say..stuffing in a 500 bbc and 4 speed.

Re: Timberliner Emblem

Dealers used to offer their own special editions. Here in Utah in the 70s the Oldsmobile dealers got together and offered what they called the Utah Friends of Olds edition of the Cutlass. It was just a regular Cutlass with UFO badges on the B pillar.

Re: Timberliner Emblem

NOW I'M INTERESTED! A highlander-like thing, eh? Oh my. Oh to see the SPID of the white Custom Deluxe Custom Camper Timberliner... I'm guessing a dealer add-on of the emblem only, however, who knows - I'd LOVE to hear more about this - as in, did it include options, extras, etc.

The guy I spoke with said that it was a dealer add on and there really wasn't anything extra except the timberliner emblem(from what I remember; I was completely mesmerized by the truck, may have been drooling at what I was seeing) regrettably I should have taken a lot more pictures.

Very iteresting!
To bad your name is not Tim. Then you could just take the 'b e' off the badge and say it was custome built for you.

Re: Timberliner Emblem

I guess T & W Chevrolet just had the company that made the dealer badges make these up. Amazing how back then, it was probably a cheap thing to have done. These days there's probably no one set up to do such an emblem, 1 or 100, and chrome plating is another story

Re: Timberliner Emblem

IMO, GM had nothing to do with it unless some type of official documentation is discovered. Font is not period correct for the era, looks 1950's. My guess is this is a dealership ego type thing, the dealership scored a nos box of emblems from some defunct snowmobile manufacture or had them made up at the time of making up his own dealership emblems. I would place a craigslist want add in Missoula Montana.
