Re: LS swap for my 75

I tried to post a video but I'm doing something wrong cause it wont attach. but on another note. 13 year old next door and his little buddy decide after a night of breaking bottles in the street they would go around the neighborhood and slash tires

Re: LS swap for my 75

I gotta way good with only 2 tire (1 was 4 months old) they hit 7 cars and a RV. one neighbor has a lifted for truck they slashed all 4 of his and his dads and his sisters car. over $1600 of damage with them alone. Family don't have money to pay for the damage. his buddy who helped him left and he doesn't want to tell on him so he's taking the fall alone.

Hate to see that. His parents should let him work restitution with a lawn mower, give him plenty of time to think about where he went wrong.

Re: LS swap for my 75

that's what the cops said one or two neighbors agreed to that but the others didn't feel the same way. the lady is a single parent and she adopted like 4 kids. I feel bad for the kid but at the same time he did cost me a pretty big chunk of change for 2 big tires plus my wife thinks we should move because of them.

Re: LS swap for my 75

If the spring was soft wouldn't that mean it would've acted like a much cooler stat? Just wondering.

Re: LS swap for my 75

I was thinking the same thing but I know these LS motors run hot so maybe it's not letting the coolant cool off I don't know I'm hoping that's it

I tried to see but couldn't tell. What does your cooling fan setup look like?

Re: LS swap for my 75

I have 2 electric fans that kick on at 190. originally one was kicking on at 190 but the other was not working right I assumed it was because I had him set it up to go on when I turned the AC on but I haven't put the AC in it yet. so I ran the wire to the fan 1 wire. my buddy said its not a good idea to run both fans at once it would take away from the air flow

Not a good idea to run both e-fans together? Never heard that before. I promise that is what you want to do. Move the most air possible. Also, not all fans are created equal. I don't look at CFM ratings. I look at how many amps the motor is. That will tell you way more. SPAL and Cooling Components are a couple brands that make quality fans.

Re: LS swap for my 75

took advantage of this hot day and took the blazer out for a 30 minute drive on the freeway and slow traffic. the highest it went was 223 for maybe a minute then drop down to 220. I'm only running one fan right now. I need to find someone to program my secondary fan or see whats up with it. it not keeping a constant signal it will just sorta sputter the signal so maybe it was the thermostat

Re: LS swap for my 75

yea so funny story. I have 2 fans behind the radiator(in front of the water pump) and um well I wired them backwards. I mean I wired them right if the fans were in front of the radiator but in this case well you know. they were puling air from the motor instead of pushing it. so on my 20 minute drive to work I was getting a 195-197 reading.

its a 2001 ECM. the guy who did it is going to check it out Saturday because I'm still having a issue with fan#2. its pulsing a signal so its not staying constant to keep the fan running

Re: LS swap for my 75

so far so good this bad boy has a massive amount of power. currently dealing with a fuel gauge issue. weather the sending unit is plugged in or not it pegs to 3:00 I have a new gauge and sending unit and replace the sending unit wire. so I'm at a lost right now. I also deiced to shoot some satin black on it.

Did you check the ground from the sender to the frame?

Yes sir. I pulled the sender out of the tank and both my old and new one grounded to the sane spot. My original one work like a charm the new one didn't. It goes straight past full to 3:00 position
