High beam indicator

I just bought a 72 shortbed that runs great the only problem I have noticed is when I turned the headlights on the indicator for high beams was on when the low beams were on and got brighter when I turned the high beams on, I figured it is a bad ground but thought I would ask before I started looking, I searched in this forum and didn't see anything, the headlights work fine, just the indicator light is a problem. Thanks

Re: High beam indicator

Does the dim light go out when you darken the dash light?
There's little cardboard tubes that block the light from the other lights from getting to that lens... if it is missing, it'll be dimly lit.
