I have one somewhere, I have owned this truck for over 25 years and alot of the photos and stuff have gotten buried in boxes and placed in the attic and such

Great story. I think I would slap some of those old election stickers on it and drive the tires off it. Love the old pictures.

Re: Sigshooter's 1965 C10

Today, I worked on aligning some panels better, took some shims out here... added some there. The factory was really sloppy when they assembled these trucks. Then I worked on putting everything back on the longblock and getting it ready to fire up ( intake-exhaust, power steering, distributor, etc...

Just about talked myself into the V-8.... kinda sux having this awesome 327 built up for the last 15 plus years and never putting it in anything.

Gonna run the six for awhile and see how bad I miss the feel of a V-8

Keep the 6. Throw the 327 in a rat rod. Progress is coming along great. Keep it up!

Re: Sigshooter's 1965 C10

Well nothing huge to report on progress, I have done alot of lil things. I have added a plastic bed liner, got my painted M/C installed, fixing all the wiring electric issues.... truck has been sitting 20 years so the wipers dont work, the blower motor doesn't work, signals-tail lights work when they want to. I have been driving it alot to work and hauling alot of my extra parts home, so I am getting time behind the wheel. I did take it to a car show, added new tires....

It has just been so hot down here it isn't fun to go out and work on it.... The plan is to get everything from 6 parts trucks on it I want ( such as factory overloads, 4 way flashers, power brakes, A/C, big window conversion.... the list goes on and on ) then do the paint and body work after I get all the upgrade stuff added.

Just wanted to report in, progress is slow but at least it isn't sitting anymore and is being driven..... alot of progress to me considering it sat lifeless the last 20 years

Thanks, the truck is solid basically no rust. I built the engine 20 years ago drove it very little , then it sat... just freshened it up and re sealed it.

Re: Sigshooter's 1965 C10

Figured it was time for an update:

I have mostly been driving my truck and enjoying every minute of it. I have done alot of lil things ( tinkering since it sat for nearly 20 years ) but nothing HUGE. I cleaned up under the hood some lately ( paint around rad support ) and installed factory power brakes.

The plan is to still keep adding all the factory options I have gathered up over the last 25 years and then paint it. I just do what I can one piece at a time that way it isn't torn down for long periods and I can still drive it.

Still driving the 65, today I took her to the muffler shop and got all new exhaust.... went with Magnaflow and love the sound. The old muffler was rusted out completely
