Re: I could use some help decoding this VIN

To the best of my knowledge, the leading numbers at the end of a VIN are a mix of assembly line, month of assembly, then possibly the actual number the truck was off the line.
Then there is the actual number of vehicles with certain features, such as tail gate/barn doors, and trim levels.

I know of no way to or a resource that can drill through a VIN, to give the actual number a vehicle was off the assembly line.

The best I have seen is the highly generalized numbers that you pasted, in regards to how many units were produced in a given model year.

That's what I was thinking too. I am sure there weren't many made since the van was coming out the following year, I guess I was just curious about what # this was on the line. Well I guess this post can go to the trash.
