Cab and chassis is done

Been 2-1/2 years or better getting this far and thought i'd post a pic and ask for help. I am setting up to restore the 9ft bed. My two books don't have any information related to parts and assembly. Anyone know of an exploded view of the bed assembly?

WOW!! Great looking truck. Is that color dark green or black? It looks great.
Sorry I don't have a layout of the bed.

Re: Cab and chassis is done

Because you have a 9 foot bed it is going to be a little harder to find an illustration. They are really kind of rare . The bedsides are specific and not being remade that I know of . The illustration is kind of generic and even lmc does not even allow you to enter parts for a 3800 . The front bed panel and the tailgate are the same as a 1/2 ton . The main difference is the placement and number of crossmembers and the side filler panels under the front of the bed. Hopefully you have them as they are super long and hard to find.

I do not get back to this site much but if you get stuck in your assembly I have a low mileage 3800 one ton in my shop and can take a look(never been apart ) . It might be better to shoot me a pm and can forward my contact info.

Thanks Paul
