Temporarily preserving the patina

I bought a headlight lens cleaning kit for my car. It worked good and of course there were leftovers. I was working by my truck and thought, how will this stuff work on the old oxidized paint? The result was better than I expected. Hopefully the pics will upload, I’m not too good with computers. Time and money are a factor, so this might be a way for others to fight the surface rust temporarily. Thought I’d pass it on to others.
