1962 gmc 1 ton c30

I've got a 1962 GMC 1 ton truck a C30 it has an ho 72 rear axle in it a dual wheel truck I'm looking to find a set of Gears possibly a carrier so that I can make this more drivable I would like to put a set of 355 maybe 373 gears in it does anyone know where I can buy these components or if they're even available. I was going to post a picture of the chassis for my truck but I can't figure out how to put a picture on here. also if I can't find a gear in a carrier does anyone know how close in size the later model GM 14-bolt axle would be in with like maybe something from a 73 to 87 truck

yes it's a dual wheel truck . And I plan on taking the trip on several very long runs so what I need is a gear that'll pull a heavy trailer but yet not kill me on the fuel mileage pin scream my motor to death

Change it to a later GM or Dodge Dana rear, you might be able to get rear discs to boot!!

If you are going to be pulling a heavy trailer, you will need 4.10 gears or no higher than 3.73's depending on what engine you are running. An OD trans will be the trick to keeping your rpm's down on the highway when possible

I'm not going to be pulling a great big heavy trailer with it just a car hauler and I'm going to keep the original transmission in it original stick shift with Granny low
