67 351e

just bought a 67 gmc with 351e v6, had a blowen head gasket, #4 cyl, blowen out towards the push rod gallery.i couldnot find a head gasket for it so i went to cometic gasket and got solid copper gasket, never installed a solid copper gasket before so i spayed on copper coat and installed them after i had the heads resurfaced and valve job done ,filled with coolant run engine found all it wanted to do is push the coolent out the rad overflow guess i did somthing wrong any sugestions?

Even though you had the head surfaced, you'd have to also deck the block to get a copper gasket to get a good compression seal, in my experience. It is also possible that the block is cracked. You're getting a compression leak into the cooling system, is my take. What to do? That depends on how deep your pockets are. Maybe someone knows an economical solution for you.
