Question about lights

On my 1942 -46 Chev truck body, the headlamps bolt to the guards and have a small separte lamp fitted above. All the additional lamps I have sen on Chevs of thsi period have the milky glass shape with a long streamlined metal section behind.

Mine has a single stand alone lamp wich is like a mimnataure head lamp witha metal from and a slit about 1 1/4 " x 1/2 " in size with a peice of clear about 1/2" thick.
The only markings are the woerd " guide".
I need another !!!
But also does anybody know what I have got, its certainly not a subsequent add- on in my opinion.

Re: Question about lights

If it's marked "guide" it's probably factory. Do you have pictures?
