Looks like a good deal for you. I have seen too many like this that the PO thinks are worth 4-5K.

Enjoy the journey.

that's cool! Getting a spare frame that's already blasted and primed is worth a lot! what are your plans for your truck?

Hey bchaney, welcome and congrates on the good score for a project. As for the paint choice, I used the Eastwood frame kit. it worked nice over the blasted frame and has the encapsulator that is a primer for the chassis paint as well. Was satisfied with the result.

Re: new guy new project

Eastwood chassis black maybe ? havent used it but heard its good for painting a frame. thats a good deal on the truck! a short frame alone goes for $500+ in Oklahoma. i like the 69 grill but 67-8 is my fav. im not to hot on painting the 69-70 grill black though. looks like a great project !

Re: new guy new project

if you're planning a custom frame and engine and a different bed then that sounds like it might be a good move. You do need to consider all the small parts that do add up...so when you sell the truck you'll spend a lot of that money buying back parts you would have had at your disposal....so look the truck over good and figure out what you'd use off of it and use that in your decision making process.

I say build what you want to build, but don't sell your spare parts until you're finished with your driver. Welcome aboard!

Re: new guy new project

Here is the pics of the other cab that i got i was kinda disappointed because its a 67 cab with small window but the frame thats blasted already is a 67 aswell so i may end up sticking a 67 frontend on it too. or sell the cab for one with the big window!
