That's what I really want for my '67. I put them on the a-pillar before because those tachs didn't fit up there. I have a nice tach dash with Camaro tach for it, but I want this to be an era correct street truck. Factory tach is cool, but doesn't make a statement, just that the truck has a nice option. I want the truck to be about what the owner did...and many owners did in the day. Also, these days everything has a tach, so the factory tach is normal to people who only know newer vehicles. I want "add-on". Gauges left much to be desired back then, in fact many vehicles only had idiot lights. So, adding gauges was as common as adding mags or headers. I'm considering building a custom cluster, yet still the tach on dash. Still in the kitchen with that

Re: Lets see pics of your tach mounting locations

First off Id love to have one of those Garlits tach's but they are either too beat up or way too much money when I fun across one.

I like them mounted to the column with a garter wrapped around em ... Love the 70's!

I had forgotten about garters on tachs. It seems cooler now than back in the day.

Re: Lets see pics of your tach mounting locations

I found this on broncograveyard.com. the column diameter fit perfect but I had to do a little modifying on the bottom where the channel is under the column. [IMG][/IMG]

Re: Lets see pics of your tach mounting locations

I did this to my dash about 15 years ago with ideas from this site. I believe I got one of the las 3 3/4 gas gauges that Summit had. A week after I got mine I tried to order another and Summit or Jegs neither had them. I do have a 3 3/4 oil pressure guage on the self. Autometers.
