ran the malibu for the first time !!!!!!!
being pretty busy wrenching on a couple different projects i've had going on. they were my 358 but the other is far more impressive 498 in my cousins malibu that we have been working on and off on for the past 11 years :y. i have a few pics i will be posting below and 3 videos once i figure out how to post/host them. the malibu has a fiberglass front end doors deck lid bumpers, fully gutted, tubed and gangstered out. fired it up two nights ago and it seemed like it was running good except it was stalling a little higher then the converter was advertised. its supposed to be a 4000 but didnt end up grabbing till 5000 which is fine when you shift at 8k. we were still able to use the trans break button that was also hooked to the 2 step to get it to 4800 at the line. and i had to **** with the jets quite a bit to fix a rich primary issue. ended up running real good though with a 10.6 first race out and it just got better from there. 10.5 next then at the end of the night pulled off a 10.2. i think with a little suspension tunning and good air day it'll go 9.90's :6
tech and this is the first time slip where he tried foot breaking it instead of using the tranny break the best run of the day 10.5 run the guy he races is a buddy of mine running 8.87 http://www.youtube.com/v/qHheqk5xElk here is the 10.2 run http://www.youtube.com/v/kHle6Be3ZMM
