Probably nothing will happen with it this summer, it is about #3 on my list of things to do.

Those post cars from that time period have been neglected for too long now. Glad to see one being rescued. That will make a neat ride.

I would love to get my hands on one of those 59s, but the list of cars I want is long. I also want a 59 El Camino, a 61 Coupe De Ville, a 50 Merc blah blah blah

It has a 350 from a '72 pickup in it now , and if I change the original 3 speed (my kids dig the column shifter ). It will likely get a lsx and a 6 speed.

I kept the column shift 3 speed in my truck just to keep a little of the original vibe of the fifties. My grandkids didn't know what it was.

So, tinkered a bit and have it running decent, just have to get the clutch to release and it will move under its own power......with my trucks and low gears I just start em in hear and push the clutch and drive super slowly into a fence post. This 3 speed car ain't geared quite so low....any one have a suggestion?

Not sure what you mean by get the clutch to release, but can you push or pull it with another vehicle? Will that do what you need?

Hmmm.....well the push the clutch pedal, which releases the pressure on the pressure plate, but due to rust, swelling, dirt.. what have you that accumulates on a clutch disc over 30 yards in a vacant lot......the disc does not let go of the pressure plate thus....the clutch won't release. Activate the clutch and the car still goes....pretty common on old relics....uhm towing may get it done...oh I had some one in the vehicle to push the clutch while I towed it.....

Very cool car! Rust and dents are in vogue right now, so I would buy glass, redo the interior since its prob kind of gross, engine swap/ wiring repairs, wheels, good brakes and call it done.
