My half ton has a 14 bolt out of a one ton and a 10 bolt front, eight lug, disc brakes out of a 3/4 or one ton. Im not sure what exactly it was out of. Previous owner did it. i was just curious if the factory 83 front half ton axle would of had disc brakes?

Yes. By the mid 70s everything pretty much had discs up front.

Actually I believe that all trucks got disc's in '71 and stayed that way.

disc brakes in the mid 70 was a standered option now if your thinking all the way around no PO did that...

Putting 3/4 ton axles in a half ton is getting to be pretty common now and is not a bad thing.
