Factory front seats all bench?

All I see is the 70/30 bench seats in our suburban and panels. I bought mine with buckets but assume they are out if something else. Just trying to figure out if buckets were an option or what these might of came out of?

Cool Re: Factory front seats all bench?

from what I understand, the buckets were usually standard panel truck seats although both types can be used...I have 60/40 seats in my panel but don't really know if they came that way...I was looking for some buckets instead of what I thought were suburban seats.

Re: Factory front seats all bench?

thanks for the info, I'm going to keep looking into it to see what I can find out. one thing about my front seats is they don't have the metal plate backing the others usually do. They are just open to the springs. Not sure if this means anything but did notice it was different.

Re: Factory front seats all bench?

I was thinking of putting some panel utility seats in my 65 suburban but found out the floor is different. In the panel the is flat all the way to the back of the front seats where as the suburban is flat up to the point of the front of the middle seat.

Was there a special bracket to make the utilities fit the suburban floor pan?

Re: Factory front seats all bench?

I wonder if those are "buddy buckets"?
there are a few threads on buddy buckets that were an option for trucks for 66, the side of that bucket looks gm 60-66, the way the top bolts to the bottom...
not sure what the panel buckets looked like, so they could be those too?

The sides look correct, looks like your missing the metal backs.

mine were out of a panel.

does your passenger seat fold forward to let people in the back? Could you post pics of your seat brackets/rails?

Thanks

Just read & saw they came in a suburban, bucket seats came in panels only as far as I know. I have a pair my pass side flips forward.
