One pc rear side glass

Has anyone done the one pc glass mod? Prepping the opening doesn't seem like a big deal, but I could be missing something. I am the most curious about what was done for the new seal. I own a 63 sub just haven"t picked it up from where I am storing it to see what is all involved. Thanks, Joel

Re: One pc rear side glass

Some of the Suburbans came from the factory with solid glass in the rear most openings. I don't know exactly what rubber profile was used, but it shouldn't be difficult to come by. You might be able to use the same rubber used in the pickup rear windows.

Re: One pc rear side glass

Captainfab thanks for the response. What I was getting at was making the whole side glass area one piece. I would guess if I order the glass from a local glass shop they could come up with a seal that would work. Also figuring i would have to fab a flat flange to accept the the seal like the rear glass on the pickups. I did save the side seals from an 88 suburban I scrapped a while back. The red sub in the for sale section has what I am looking to do.
