Lowering Shackle - Question

I bought some 2" lowering shackles and expected the shackles to be 4" longer, they are 2.25" longer. How am I going to get a 2" drop if the shackle is only 2" longer. That would equal a 1" drop. Am I missing something?

The mounting holes on the shackles on the rig are 4" apart. Does anyone know if that is the measurement of an original shackle.

Re: Lowering Shackle - Question

That sounds right. If you change nothing else, every 1 inch you add to the shackle the diff and frame come 1 inch closer together.
