1980 fleetside tailgate hinge repair?

Hey everyone,

I need the plastic or rubber insulators for the tailgate pivot points (have seen the electrical tape trick referenced in a few posts and will go with that as a last resort, but would like to fix it "proper") and it looks like the Dorman parts don't seem to fit all that well from what I've read.

Also, the welded-on cup for the passenger's side of the gate is missing. Seems like the tailgates are the first things to go in the boneyards around here, so assuming I can't find a used gate and a repro gate wasn't an option, is a weld-on cup available to fix this or is there a bolt-on solution available for pre-'81 'gates that I'm not aware of?
