Replacement clutch pedal for 87

The pin for the clutch master cylinder rod is wasted. Does anyone know where I can pick up a replacement pedal or pin?

Optionally I have thought about pressing out the pin and threading the hole and using a bolt and cutting off the end of the rod and threading it and installing a spherical joint.

Thoughts?

That's exactly what I recently did. Get a 7/16th female rod end. The pushrod is the same diameter as the threaded hole in the rod end. Measure twice- cut once. Cut off, grind smooth and drill a 7/16th hole in the pedal arm. Use a grade 8 bolt about
1-1/4 long and use a locknut to button it up.

Thank you!! What I'm running into with that idea is the rod on mine is 1/4" (1987) and the pin is 1/2". The only rod ends I can find for 1/4" also only have a 1/4" hole for the pin.

I see that. Some quick Google search didn't find that size. However, I KNOW they exist as I bought 2 of them sometime in the past. I just gotta figure out where. Might have been Speedway or Grainger. I'll try to find em and let you know

Re: Replacement clutch pedal for 87

Looks like new master cylinders all come with rods, so I'm going to let this die. Now I just need to find a replacement pin for the pedal. This is where I may be going with a bolt. Tractor supply has some nice thick wall nylon sleeves so that may work its way into the setup also.

Re: Replacement clutch pedal for 87

you'll have to weld the bolt in, you can't tighten it up its got to be able to move.

Bronze sleeve. I can tighten against it.
