Cool Two 64 logging crew carryall

Well guys I have yet another project that I just picked up about a month ago. And now trying to figure out what I am going to do with them. I think that I might keep one of them which ever is the best of the two. I dont know a whole lot about them other than what was posted on FB someone said they were custom built in oregon for the logging industries other than that I don't know anything about them, maybe you guys could tell me more about them?

WOW That's neat guess they were made to haul wood cutter's..people (cutting wood).. I'm surprised that there not 4x4 though...they must have had a decent road to travel..
Hmm you could always 4x4 it...

Re: Two 64 logging crew carryall

the one with the orange hood is a 64, the hood is a 61, it is the 1 ton panel which has the 133 inch wheelbase. the windows were cut into the panel, which was a common thing.
I am guessing that the other is a 64 as well with a 63-66 hood put on it.

the 61 hood emblem is "apache 30 " which means it came from a 1 ton 61, the 64 fender emblem also has a "30 on it which denotes the 1 ton capacity.

those front tow hooks are a factory option , correct 60-66, and rare and valuable.

the rear benches look pretty cool, and that looks like a rear heater, which might explain that unit under the hood....

the windows might have come from the stageway conversion, but many of the converted 60-66 panels have that style of window, so a different coach building company might have done the conversion.

You are correct they are both 64 the one with the 60 hood is not correct for the truck. they are c30 1 ton and were built in oregon by a builder called pacific. that much I know, as far as knowing anything else like how many were built and there true purpose. Yes there is a heater in the back and yes that is some type of pump that circulate the water to the back.

Re: Two 64 logging crew carryall

It's a heater. There's hoses that connect to the heating system.
