1970 K20 crew cab (Scott Built)

I have recently purchased a 1970 3/4 ton 4x4 crew cab. Is there anyone on here that is familiar with these or anyone that has one? I have searched for years for one and I'm trying to be careful to keep it as it was. For instance it appears to be mostly stock but the fuel system is a nightmare of lines and relays with valves that run down one frame rail then back up the other one.... Just some of things about it that I have yet to figure out....any comments or information would be most appreciated.

Kindly, Josh

Can’t answer any of your questions, however that is a pretty cool K20. I passed a 71-72 on a roll back a couple months ago. You don’t see them very often. I like your approach of keeping it original!

Re: 1970 K20 crew cab (Scott Built)

I'm familiar with them but never owned one. It must have dual accessory saddle tanks, like my '72. Yes, a bear to deal with... lines all over the place and wiring for all the sending units to the switch. Have to drop the tanks to see what's up with no gauge in any position... which is why I haven't had a working gauge since I've owned it. Just keep a pad and pen handy in the glovebox

Cool truck

I think your right....I know it only has one tank in it now( behind the seat) But I bet it had an auxiliary tank on the flat bed....come to think of it. I bet that's why someone has added a second fuel Guage under the dash.
