Middle row shoulder belts?

Anyone have, or have any suggestions on how to put, 3 point seat belts in the middle seat of my '72 Suburban? Were there OEM 3 pt. seat belts for the middle row? Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Re: Middle row shoulder belts?

There is a threaded hole on the body post to bolt the top anchor of the belt to.

All three rows have blind nuts there. Were they ever put in factory?

Re: Middle row shoulder belts?

No,You would need to make a bracket.I have the original seats in.The holes in the rear brackets are threaded for lap belts. The old shoulder belts were a separate belt, didn't have a retractor, not like they are now.

Re: Middle row shoulder belts?

Thanks again. I'm getting ready to tear my suburban down for paint and body. I want to go back with retractor type seat belts for the middle row. I'll figure something out.

My 05 Yukon XL has a shoulder strap for the middle seat. I am guessing the 99 up seats do as well. The driver's side mounts to the side of the burb because that seat folds forward. I plan to track down a wrecked burb and swap all the integrated belt seats in and only have to attach one belt to the truck, the rest are part of the seat.
